Dame Eileen June Atkins, CBE (born June 16, 1934 in London, England, U.K.) is a British writer and an award-winning film and theatre actress.
Among her accomplishments come a creation of 2 television series, including the conception for an original television series, created with Jean Marsh, titled Behind a Green Baize Door, which became a award-winning series Upstairs, Downstairs.
Eileen Atkins has appeared in the films The Hours, Bertie and Elizabeth, A Room of Her Own, Gosford Park, Jack and Sarah, Cold Mountain, and Wolf.
She as well got the rare fortune to exist as propositioned by a sex-starved Colin Farrell on location in 2004, shortly before she turned Seventy.
